So, this was going to actually be part of my previous release. But, things don’t always go as planned.

Three different colors available. If you’d like to see more let me know. These stripes were kind of fun to make. I’m thinking about doing more and releasing them three at a time. So, keep your eyes out for more.

Woo! Two releases in…3 weeks? I’m on a roll. This was going to be something completely different. It went a totally different direction. It was going to be cute casual but ended up being more dressy. I’m really loving this and haven’t taken it off for days. I dipped into some more prim clothing. The sleeves weren’t so bad. Only took a bit of tweaking and some help from a friend (thanks Adri) It looks great with out the prim sleeves, as well. Okay, enough yappin’ out of me. Here’s the picture:

To find me do a search for Dawning Concept in world. Happy Shopping! <3

Yes, I am. I found a cute little townhouse in town. I’ve got everything in. I’m just unpacking now. It’s taking forever because I’ve decided to go through everything I own and throw away half my stuff. It’s a good feeling to get rid of soo much. Now I don’t have to put so much stuff away. Ha. I’m finding I need a lot of stuff. Things like… furniture. I need couches, TVs, end tables, etc. My friends just threw away their couch that I absolutely loved. They didn’t know I needed it. Kind of makes me sad. So, if I’m kind of scarce in SL. That’s why.

So with the help of a friend, Echo Seigo, the blog is getting closer to what it’s supposed to look like. Only a few problems:
The text in the sidebar is blue and hard to read.
Behind the header and the footer is the middle background for some reason. Echo couldn’t figure it out. Well, he could but he thinks that something somewhere else is overriding what he’s trying to fix.
So, we’re getting closer!

Grazia over at the SS Blog posted a very flattering post about my clothing design. I was so flattered! It’s the first time I’ve been blogged with out sending out review copies. It also makes me a bit sad that I don’t have much time (if any) to design more. It really is what I love doing and people seem to appreciate my work. That makes it even more worth it. I have a few things that are almost ready to release. Maybe by the end of the month I will have some time for ME STUFF!

So, I made the background black (YAY! Something I know how to do) so the text is easy to read until I can find out what I’m doing wrong. I have even gone as far as printing out both the default CSS file and my CSS file (since I made mine from the default and the default one /works/) so I could compare and see if there was anything I was missing. I made a few changes, skeptical that anything was going to fix it, and nothing was fixed. I’m really at my wit’s end here. There’s no place to put my dcbg.png image in the CSS! Where else would it go? Really, this all makes no sense to me.

Do you see this? Do you see what’s wrong? I can’t get my middle to show up. Can you say CSS incompetent? I can! Or maybe it’s php? I dunno. I was really hoping I could just throw this template up in Dreamweaver and weave away at the code. CSS/HTML I could probably handle. But, this CSS/php stuff isn’t floating my boating. The worst thing is that I’m at work, just staring at the thing and I can’t do a thing about it. I’ve got my White Chocolate Mocha in one hand and my mouse in the other (prepared aren’t I?) and it’s at home!!! Instead, I’m trying to keep myself warm in my little office as it’s -8 outside. Hey, it’s better than earlier this morning which was -15! I love my little valley of ice. No, really, I do.
If anyone would like to help me fix my problems, (I’m having more than just than just the middle thing) please let me know! I’m about bald from hair pulling.

Goal #1: Blog
Goal #2: Design Blog Template
Goal #3: Teach myself all this css/php crap as I go.
Well, here is my new place. Please excuse the dust, I’m self teaching myself to build a blog template. It might be more stress than it’s worth. I just spent about 6 hours trying to figure out why nothing I was doing was working. None of my graphics were working and I had just about tried everything I could think of. Turns out, it didn’t have anything to do with the template itself but a setting in my web hosting options. I had to turn off hotlink protection and now all is well. I’m about drained and I’m going to have to let all my hair grow back out. I think I’m off to a good start, though. So, browse, read, critique, whatever. I hope to be here regularly.
